Assessment of professionally important qualities of osteopaths

Abstract
Professionally important psychological and psychophysiological qualities (PIQ) of an osteopathic doctor are identified according to expert assessments provided by lecturers of the V.L.Andrianov Institute of Osteopathic Medicine (IOM). With the help of Multipsychometre, a hardware and software system for psychodiagnostics, psychophysiological testing of 35 students majoring in osteopathy was carried out, which allowed one to assess skills and qualities of an individual that matched psychophysiological profile of this specialty. The results of factor analysis (main components) enabled us to determine the significance of psychological and psychophysiological qualities that are necessary for successful training of osteopaths.
